2012 was a massive year for CyberChimps Inc.

2012

We actually started the year as CyberChimps LLC, but incorporated in July. We started the year with only two barely full-time employees and 1 part time employee, and ended the year with 3 full time employees, and several other part-time designers, programmers, and support staff.

We have had over 242,000+ active installs of our free themes in the last year from WordPress.org alone.

We started 2012 with just 3 major themes, and ended the year with 6. While iFeature Pro still remains to be our most popular theme, Eclipse Pro has become a strong second favorite, and our other themes have each found their own niche.

In 2012 we introduced Drag and Drop functionality, as well as responsive design to all of our themes and saw a significant boost in sales after the introduction of both. At the end of 2012 we introduced our new fully responsive front-end and responsive Theme Options framework based on Twitter Bootstrap, as well as iFeature Pro 5.

CyberChimps Inc was founded by Trent Lapinski in 2011, and is one of the fastest growing WordPress Theme companies on the Internet, and currently ranks in the top 17,000 websites on the Internet.

We have sold 11,412 Pro versions of our themes in 2012, and earned just over $335,000 in revenue.

We accomplished all of this on CyberChimps.com alone. We do not sell our themes on any other market place, all of our free themes including our new framework are open source, and are released under the GPL. We also do not charge extra for updates, and we are committed to providing great customer support. Our themes are priced reasonably, and we don’t nickel and dime our customers or make promises we cannot keep.

We are very proud of what we have accomplished this year, and are extremely grateful to the WordPress community, and the support we have received from our amazing customers. We are humbled by the success we have had in 2012, and continue to work tirelessly to give back to the WordPress community.

Hello San Francisco

We are also happy to announce that we are officially moving CyberChimps Inc to San Francisco, California, on January 1, 2013. We look forward to getting involved in the WordPress and startup community in person.

2013 and Beyond

2012 was a game changer for us here at CyberChimps Inc, we realized a dream, and made it a reality, but we are no where close to being done. We will be moving all of our themes to our new framework in the beginning of 2013, as well as releasing several new themes. We are also working on some amazing new projects, including more free themes, and we hope to enter the plugin market later this year.

2013 is going to be even better then 2012, and we cannot wait to share what we are working on.

Thank You

I would also like to personally thank Bryan Hadaway, Hugo Saner, Ben Mueller, Surya, and Thomas for believing in CyberChimps and making this company a reality. As well as continued support from WordPress.org, including Emil Uzelac, and Chip Bennett.

Thanks guys!
